Are there any joining fees, listing fees, or hidden costs? No. There are no joining fees, no listing fees, and no hidden costs. You only pay commission when you receive a confirmed booking. If you don’t earn, we don’t earn. Simple.

Do you charge payment processing fees separately? No. Payment processing is included within the commission. We don’t add separate Stripe or card handling fees on top — what you see is what you pay.

Is there a minimum contract term? No minimum term. You’re free to list your motorhome without being locked into a long-term contract.

Can I leave the platform at any time? Yes. You can remove your listing at any time. We simply honour any confirmed bookings already in place — after that, you’re free to step away.

Do you charge for using promotional tools (e.g., boosted listings)? Core listing features are included as part of your commission. Boosting listings to get on our front page will come at a small cost, but with any cost they’ll always be transparent and entirely optional — you stay in control of how you market your motorhome.

How do your fees compare to other UK rental platforms? We’re built to be lean and owner-first. Our commission is significantly lower than many traditional marketplaces, and we don’t stack extra fees on top. The goal is simple: help you keep more of what you earn. We are created by Motorhome Owners, that know the industry but want fair change in how they can market motorhomes on a platform.

Can I set my own collection and return times? Yes — you decide your collection and return windows. You know your schedule and turnaround needs best, so the platform is designed to work around you, not the other way round.

Can I block dates for personal use? Absolutely. You can block out any dates in your calendar at any time for personal trips, maintenance, or anything else. Your motorhome, your availability.

Can I import existing bookings? Yes. You can block or import existing bookings into your calendar so everything stays aligned from day one. We want switching to feel seamless, not stressful.

Do you provide insurance, or do I arrange my own? Owners arrange their own hire insurance. This gives you flexibility to choose the policy and provider that best suits your vehicle and rental model. If you do not have this option, GoGallivanting can provide an insurance policy which comes at an extra charge.

What level of cover is required? You’ll need specialist self-drive hire insurance that’s valid for the duration of each booking. We recommend ensuring your policy includes appropriate cover levels, excess clarity, and breakdown protection — peace of mind for both you and your renter.

Is European travel allowed? European travel can be allowed, but it’s your decision as the owner. If you’re happy to permit it and your insurance covers it, you can set that within your listing preferences.

What excess applies in case of a claim? The excess is set by your insurance policy. As the owner, you choose your insurer and cover level, so the excess will follow the terms of your specific self-drive hire policy.

What happens in the event of an accident abroad? If you’ve approved European travel and your insurance covers it, claims are handled in line with your insurer’s overseas process. We recommend confirming European cover, excess levels, and recovery terms with your provider before approving international trips.

Who handles roadside breakdown support? Breakdown support should be included within your insurance or a separate recovery policy arranged by you. We strongly recommend comprehensive UK (and European, if applicable) breakdown cover for every hire.

How do renter reviews work? After each completed booking, renters can leave a review based on their experience. Reviews are visible on your listing and help build trust with future guests. Owners can also review renters, helping maintain standards across the platform.

What age and condition must my motorhome meet? There is no age limit for your Motorhome, however your motorhome should be roadworthy, well maintained, and presented to a good rental standard. We expect vehicles to be safe, clean, legally compliant, and suitable for self-drive hire use.

Are there minimum spec requirements? There’s flexibility on specification — from compact campers to larger family motorhomes. The key requirement is that the vehicle is fully functional, safe, and accurately described in the listing.

Do I need habitation checks or gas certificates? Yes — your vehicle must meet legal and safety requirements for hire. Up-to-date habitation checks, gas safety certification, and any required compliance documentation should be in place before accepting bookings.

How do you attract renters? We take a multi-channel approach. That includes SEO, mobile-first optimisation, targeted digital campaigns, content marketing, and ongoing platform improvements designed to increase visibility and conversion. Our focus isn’t just traffic — it’s quality enquiries that convert into bookings.

Do you invest in paid advertising? Yes. We actively invest in paid digital advertising to drive demand to the platform and support owner visibility. As the marketplace grows, that investment scales with it — the stronger the inventory, the stronger the marketing engine behind it.

What occupancy rates do owners typically achieve? Occupancy depends on factors like location, pricing, seasonality, vehicle type, and availability. As a growing platform, results vary — but well-presented, competitively priced motorhomes with flexible availability tend to perform strongest. Our focus is on building sustainable demand that converts, not inflated headline numbers.

Is there a mobile app? GoGallivanting is fully mobile-optimised, so you can manage everything directly from your phone. A dedicated app is part of the longer-term roadmap, but today’s platform is designed mobile-first for owners and renters alike.

Can I track views and booking conversion? Yes. You can see how your listing is performing, including visibility and booking activity, so you’re not operating in the dark. Transparency helps you optimise pricing and availability.

Do you provide revenue analytics? Yes. You can track booking income and performance over time, helping you understand seasonality and plan ahead with confidence.

Can I export financial reports? Yes. You’re able to access and export booking information for your own accounting and record-keeping purposes.

Is VAT reporting supported? We provide clear booking and commission breakdowns to support your VAT reporting. As tax situations vary, we recommend confirming your individual VAT obligations with your accountant.

Can I see competitor pricing? You can view other live listings on the platform to understand pricing trends. We encourage competitive, fair pricing — but you always remain in full control of your own rates.

Are terms compliant with UK consumer law? Yes. Our platform terms are designed to align with UK consumer protection standards. We recommend that owners also ensure their own hire agreements and insurance arrangements meet current legal requirements.

Can I list on multiple platforms? Yes. You’re free to list elsewhere. Many owners operate across multiple channels and use GoGallivanting as part of their wider booking strategy. We feel our low commission fees and no hidden costs are a good reason to list with us.

How easy is it to migrate my listings? It’s straightforward - we have GoPilot to help you onboard quickly from existing listings. It will be done super fast! You can quickly recreate your listing, upload photos, and set availability. We’ve designed onboarding to be simple and owner-friendly.

Will you help me import bookings? Yes. We can guide you through blocking or adding existing bookings so your calendar is accurate from the start. It's a very simple process.

Can I transfer reviews? Direct review transfers aren’t typically possible between platforms. However, you’re welcome to reference your experience and history within your listing description to help build trust with renters.

Is there a dedicated account manager? As we grow, we provide hands-on onboarding support and responsive assistance. Dedicated account management may be available depending on scale and volume — our focus is on accessible, practical support for all owners. Do you provide best-practice guidance? Yes. We share practical guidance around pricing, presentation, and listing optimisation to help you maximise bookings and maintain strong renter experiences.
